It is simply impractical as well as ineffective to attempt to remove phosphorous after it has entered the aquatic system. The only possibility for reduction is in reducing the amount reaching the system beforehand and even that is limited. a better strategy would instead be simply taking one’s lumps and attempt to reach a new ecological equilibrium. Yes I am saying it is a loss.
