A few months ago, we got an email from a reader seeking advice from journalists covering education and job training.
The reader’s granddaughter will be off to college soon. She and her friends are all wondering how to prepare for a world where artificial intelligence threatens to gobble up so many white-collar jobs.
“Can we predict where the lasting jobs will be?” the reader asked.
The truth: We really didn’t know the answer. But we’re gonna get to the bottom of that and more, by reporting on how AI is changing the job search and the advice colleges give students as they plan their careers.
