THE DISTRICT

This safe Republican district stretches from Lake Michigan along the Illinois border to Genoa City. It encompasses Twin Lakes, Paddock Lake and portions of Pleasant Prairie.

THE NUTSHELL

Rep. Amanda Nedweski, R-Pleasant Prairie, a freshman seeking a second term, also serves on the Kenosha County Board of Supervisors. During the most recent legislative session, she co-authored a 14-week abortion ban that did not include exceptions for rape or incest. She faces Democrat Michael Dhindsa. Nedweski is a heavy favorite to win a second term, given the strong Republican lean of the district.

PRIMARY RESULTS

Nedweski and Dhindsa both advanced from the Aug. 13 primary. Neither faced an opponent.
