Astrid Code joined Wisconsin Watch as a Scripps Howard Fund intern in May 2026. She is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in English and arts & ideas in the humanities. She previously served as managing news editor of The Michigan Daily and has held internships at the nonprofit newsroom Bridge Michigan as well as Michigan Public, Michigan’s leading NPR station. She is a proud Michigander hailing from Kalamazoo, pursuing a career in journalism with a focus on nonprofit news.
