Clare Amari joined the Center in September 2021 as a reporting intern through the Columbia Journalism School/Institute for Nonprofit News internship program. She recently received her master’s degree in journalism with honors from the Columbia Journalism School in New York City. There, she worked in print and audio, creating a narrative investigative podcast about an unsolved murder and investigating policing practices around domestic violence in Ohio. She previously worked as a legal assistant in the corporate governance practice of a major international law firm, and holds degrees in Classical languages and literature from Columbia University and the University of Oxford.
