THE DISTRICT

This southwestern Green Bay district includes Ashwaubenon and borders the Fox River to the east. It is a toss-up district.

THE NUTSHELL

Two candidates with law enforcement experience will vie for a toss-up seat in the Nov. 5 election. The seat is one to watch as Republicans defend their Assembly majority. Patrick Buckley of Green Bay, a Republican and chair of the Brown County Board, is a former Green Bay police officer and business owner. He lost a mayoral campaign to current Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich in 2019. Ryan Spaude of Green Bay, a Democrat, serves as a prosecutor in the Brown County District Attorney’s office.

PRIMARY RESULTS

Both Buckley and Spaude advanced without an opponent.
