THE DISTRICT

The 64th Assembly District includes part of Kenosha County, the villages of Somers and the northern half of the city of Kenosha. The seat is likely Democratic.

THE NUTSHELL

In a 2022 rematch, Rep. Tip McGuire, D-Kenosha, faces a rematch from Republican Ed Hibsch. Hibsch, who worked with data analytics then opened a luxury transportation business in Kenosha, is running to help citizens with taxes and managing a business. He is a board member for the Republican Party of Kenosha County. McGuire, who took office in 2019, has supported tax relief for small businesses and working families. He serves on the Joint Finance, Criminal Justice and Public Safety and Sporting Heritage committees. McGuire is favored due to the partisan makeup of the district.

PRIMARY RESULTS

McGuire and Hibsch both advanced. Neither faced a primary opponent.
