THE DISTRICT

The 60th Assembly District encompasses Fond du Lac, stretching north across Dexter and Van Dyne toward the Winnebago County border. It is a likely Republican district.

THE NUTSHELL

In a rematch from 2022, first-term Rep. Jerry O’Connor, R-Fond du Lac, faces Democrat Joe Lavrenz of Fond du Lac. During the most recent legislative session, O’Connor chaired the Speaker’s Task Force on Human Trafficking. Lavrenz has spent his career working for telecommunications companies and in IT. O’Connor is favored to win because of the partisan composition of the district.

PRIMARY RESULTS

O’Connor and Lavrenz both advanced. Neither faced a primary opponent.
