THE DISTRICT

The district contains a slice of Brown County that stretches into eastern Outagamie County. It is a likely Republican seat in November.

THE NUTSHELL

Freshman Rep. Joy Goeben, R-Hobart, is running for reelection for the first time. Elected in 2022, she serves as the co-chair of the Assembly Committee on Children and Families. In the most recent legislative session, she helped sponsor a series of Republican child care bills, though none of them became law. She faces a challenge from Democrat Greg Sampson of Little Chute. But with such a heavy Republican bend to the district, Goeben is expected to win a second term comfortably.

PRIMARY RESULTS

Both Goeben and Sampson advanced. Neither candidate had a primary challenger.
