This Republican-leaning district stretches from Stevens Point to Juneau to Jackson.

THE NUTSHELL

Incumbent Sen. Patrick Testin, R-Stevens Point, was first elected to the state Senate in 2016. He currently serves as president pro tempore of the chamber and chairs the Senate Committee on Labor, Regulatory Reform, Veterans and Military Affairs. He’s also a member of the Legislature’s powerful budget-writing committee. Testin finished second in the 2022 Republican primary for lieutenant governor. Challenger Collin McNamara, a Democrat from Stevens Point, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2022 and is campaigning on improving health care access in central Wisconsin, investing in public schools and bolstering the middle class.
