THE DISTRICT
This safe Republican district contains Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Marinette, Oneida, and Vilas counties, as well as parts of Oconto, Shawano and Marathon counties. It includes the cities of Antigo, Eagle River, Marinette, Rhinelander and Tomahawk.
THE NUTSHELL
Incumbent Sen. Mary Felzkowski, R-Tomahawk, has represented the district since 2021. She will be challenged by Andi Rich, a Democrat from Marinette. Felzkowski recently sponsored a 14-week abortion ban that failed, as well as as bill that would have required local approval for the development of certain wind and solar projects. Gov. Tony Evers recently signed two of her bills into law that improve access to dental care in rural areas. Rich has a background in insurance and business and says she understands the importance of responsible taxpayer spending. She wants to tackle environmental issues like PFAS contamination, and she is focused on public school funding.

Both Felzkowski and Rich advanced without an opponent.
