THE DISTRICT

The Milwaukee district encompasses a large portion of the city’s south side. It is a safe Democratic seat.

THE NUTSHELL

This safe Democratic seat is open. Rep. Marisabel Cabrera, who had represented the district since 2019, was elected in April to serve as a Milwaukee County Circuit Court judge, meaning she could not run for re-election in November. Priscilla Prado, a small business owner campaigning on improving public safety and bolstering access to health care, won the Democratic primary. She faces Ryan Antczak, a former corrections officer, who is running on improving public safety and cutting taxes. Given the partisan skew of the district, Prado is an overwhelming favorite in November.

PRIMARY RESULTS

Prado soundly defeated Espana and will face Antczak who did not have a primary opponent.
