THE DISTRICT

This southern Wisconsin district comprises parts of Rock County, including the city of Janesville and the village of Footville. It includes the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater at Rock County campus and the main campus of Blackhawk Technical College. This is a safe Democratic seat.

THE NUTSHELL

Incumbent Rep. Sue Conley, D-Janesville, will not seek reelection and has backed Ann Roe, of Janesville, to succeed her. Roe, a small business owner and former college educator, has received a long list of endorsements. She faces Bruce Danielson, a Janesville police officer. Roe is favored to win in the heavily Democratic district.

PRIMARY RESULTS

Roe won the Democratic primary and will face Danielson who was uncontested.
