THE DISTRICT

This safe Republican seat encompasses Elkhorn, Walworth and Delavan.

THE NUTSHELL

Assembly Majority Leader Tyler August, R-Walworth, moved into this safe Republican seat to avoid a primary with Rep. Amanda Nedweski, R-Pleasant Prairie. That still resulted in an incumbent pairing with freshman Rep. Ellen Schutt, who decided not to run for reelection. August faces Democrat John Henderson, of Elkhorn, a retired real estate worker. August, the second-ranking Republican member of the Assembly and a close ally of Speaker Robin Vos, is a heavy favorite, given the partisan makeup of the district.

PRIMARY RESULTS

Both August and Henderson advanced from the Aug. 13 primary. Neither ran in a contested primary.
