We’re feeling pretty great about having hired Kate Prengaman as a summer 2012 intern right about now.

Prengaman led the team that just won Tableau’s national Student Data Challenge. The team of three journalism grad students from University of Wisconsin-Madison visualized data showing how women in Lesotho borrow and make money. Prengaman worked with Amy Karon — another one of our fabulous interns — and Emily Eggleston.

See the viz on Prengaman’s blog, Xylem.
