Center wins eight Milwaukee Press Club awards, sweeps innovative feature category
The Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism received eight awards from the Milwaukee Press Club’s annual Awards for Excellence in Wisconsin Journalism, which were announced today. This represents the Center’s best showing ever. It received four awards in 2012 and five in 2011.

WisconsinWatch.org was named the best local news or feature website at the Milwaukee Press Club’s annual awards celebration on Friday night. The Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, which produces the website, was honored with three gold (first place) awards and a silver in the club’s Awards for Excellence in Wisconsin Journalism, the state’s premiere all-media journalism competition.

The Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism raked in five awards from the Milwaukee Press Club’s annual Awards for Excellence in Wisconsin Journalism, which were announced today. The Center received three first-place awards — for best coverage of a single news topic or event, best innovative online feature, and best investigative story or series.
