Andy Pennington joined Wisconsin Watch as chief executive officer in March 2026. He leads the organization’s strategic direction, sustainability efforts and continued commitment to high-impact investigative journalism. Andy is a seasoned media executive with leadership experience spanning print and digital publishing, advertising, audience development, marketing, and event management. He has led revenue and operational teams across Alaska, Idaho, Wisconsin, and Colorado, building strong organizations and guiding them through industry change. For seven years, Andy led the Anchorage Daily News in Anchorage, Alaska, spearheading a turnaround beginning in late 2017 that transformed the organization into a profitable, audience-first, diversified digital media company. He more recently served as publisher for Adams Publishing Group in southern Wisconsin, overseeing regional operations and revenue strategy across a portfolio of community news organizations. Andy grew up in Nebraska, Wyoming and Wisconsin and now resides with his wife and family in Columbus, Wisconsin.
