THE DISTRICT

This competitive district covers the metropolitan Green Bay region and is a toss-up seat.

THE NUTSHELL

Allouez Village President Jim Rafter is running as a Republican after serving on the Allouez Village Board for nearly a decade. Rafter, who has been a vocal advocate for the closure of Green Bay Correctional Institute, said in an interview that he hopes to reduce abortions, appropriate more state funding to local communities, increase more school funding and reduce political polarization in government. Jamie Wall, a business consultant from Green Bay, is running as a Democrat. Wall, who previously lost two campaigns to represent Congress in 2006 and 2012, said in an interview that he intended to represent the “moderate majority of Wisconsin.” Wall said that his priorities include expanding BadgerCare, supporting PFAS cleanup while holding polluters accountable and allocating more state funding to local communities.

PRIMARY RESULTS

Both Rafter and Wall advanced without an opponent.
